IFP’s Principal Psychologists

Lewis Z. Schlosser, PhD, ABPP is the managing partner at IFP. He is a licensed psychologist in New York, New Jersey, Maine, and Pennsylvania. Dr. Schlosser is Board Certified in Police and Public Safety Psychology and Counseling Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. He is a former tenured Associate Professor at Seton Hall University (2003-2012) and former in-house Director of Psychological Services for the New York City Correction Department (2006-2015). Dr. Schlosser has conducted over 10,000 psychological evaluations for law enforcement, including pre-employment, fitness for duty evaluations, and promotional evaluations. He is an annual instructor at the Rockland County (NY) Police Academy. Dr. Schlosser is a member of the Police Psychological Services Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He is also an affiliate member of the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) and the Bergen County Police Chief’s Association. In 2021, he was appointed as the inaugural Chief Psychologist for the NJSACOP. He is a Police Surgeon for the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office. Krista L. Dettle, PhD, is co-owner of IFP and is a licensed psychologist in the states of New York and New Jersey. Dr. Dettle was formerly employed with the NYC Department of Correction where she conducted psychological evaluations for the Applicant Investigation Unit. Dr. Dettle also teaches psychological assessment to graduate students at William Paterson University. Dr. Dettle is a member of the Police Psychological Services Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Matthew E. Guller, JD, PhD, ABPP is co-owner of IFP and is a clinical psychologist licensed in New York and New Jersey. He has served as a licensed psychologist with IFP since 2006. He is Board Certified in Police and Public Safety Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. He is an adjunct professor of forensic and police psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s graduate program in forensic psychology. He is an annual instructor at the Rockland County (NY) Police Academy. Dr. Guller is a member of the Police Psychological Services Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He is also an affiliate member of the NJSACOP and the Bergen County Police Chief’s Association.

Associates – Headquarters Office

Christopher A. Sbaratta, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in the states of New York and New Jersey. Dr. Sbaratta is the former Assistant Director of the Applicant Investigation Unit (2015-2021) for the New York City Department of Correction. He has served as an examiner with IFP since 2013. Dr. Sbaratta has performed public safety evaluations as an independent contractor for other police and public safety practices, as well as for local law enforcement agencies. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at New York University with a specialization in substance abuse evaluation and treatment. He also taught graduate psychological assessment at New York University (2013-2018). Dr. Sbaratta is a member of the Police Psychological Services Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, as well as a member of the Society for Police and Criminal Psychology.

Sandra Ackerman Sinclair, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in the states of New York and New Jersey. She currently holds a full-time role as a Psychological Consultant with the Institute for Forensic Psychology (IFP), since 2019. Prior, she worked both part-time for IFP (since 2013) and full-time as a Staff Psychologist and Assistant Director for Outreach and Prevention at Seton Hall University’s Counseling and Psychological Services (2012-2019). She has experience conducting pre-employment psychological evaluations and psychological fitness for duty evaluations for police and public safety agencies; she also conducts officer wellness sessions. Dr. Ackerman Sinclair is a member of the Police Psychological Services Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police. She currently serves as the Secretary for the Essex Union County Association of Psychologists, and a general committee member to the New Jersey Psychological Association’s Ethics Education and Resource Committee.

Associates – Philadelphia Regional Office

Andrew Wolanin, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist in the States of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He provides psychological evaluations for the Philadelphia regional office and has conducted public safety pre-employment screening, fitness for duty and critical incident evaluations. He is the former director of the department of advanced studies in psychology at Kean University. Dr. Wolanin is a member of the Society for Police and Criminal Psychology and the past president of the Philadelphia Behavior Therapy Association. Dr. Wolanin has conducted over 1,000 public safety evaluations.

Jaclyn Margherita, MA, Senior Executive Associate: Ms. Margherita holds a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She joined the staff of IFP in 2009, and assists in test administration, scoring and research.

Olivia McCullough, MA, Executive Associate: Ms. McCullough holds a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She joined the staff of IFP in 2014, and assists in test administration, scoring and research.

Gina Bellacera, MA, Psychological and Administrative Associate: Ms. Bellacera holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Kean University. She joined the staff of IFP in 2014, and assists in test administration, scoring and research.

Julia Giannella, MA, Psychological and Administrative Associate: Ms. Giannella holds a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She joined the staff of IFP in 2015, and assists in test administration, scoring and research.

Elysse Tague, MA, Psychological and Administrative Associate: Ms. Tague holds a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She joined the staff of IFP in 2018, and assists in test administration, scoring and research.

Wendy Cianciaruso, BFA, Office Manager: Ms. Cianciaruso holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. She joined the staff of IFP in 2008, and handles customer relations, billing, and general office duties.

Selena Hart, MA, Psychological and Administrative Associate: Ms. Hart holds a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She joined the staff of IFP in 2019, and assists in test administration, scoring, and research. 

Gianna Pezzuti, BA, Psychological and Administrative Associate: Ms. Pezzuti holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University. She joined the staff in 2019, and assists in test administration, scoring, and research.

Jacob Porlier, MA, Psychological and Administrative Associate: Mr. Porlier holds a Master’s Degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He joined the staff of IFP in 2020 and assists in test administration, scoring, and research.
